IT’S OFFICIAL — THE LIPEDEMA WORLD CONGRESS IS COMING TO AUSTRALIA!

We are incredibly excited to share the news that in November 2027, Melbourne will welcome the global lipoedema community for the Lipedema World Congress III, which will be co-located with the Lipoedema Australia Conference VII.

This is an extraordinary opportunity for the Australian lipoedema community. Hosting the World Congress in Melbourne will bring international researchers, clinicians and experts in lipoedema to Australia, giving Australian and Asia-Pacific communities a rare opportunity to access global knowledge and expertise without the challenges of long haul travel.

Across four days, people living with lipoedema, health professionals, researchers and advocates will come together to share the latest research, clinical knowledge and lived experience, learn from one another, build connections and strengthen international collaboration.

For Lipoedema Australia, this is an incredibly proud moment. What began as a small Facebook support group, has grown into a national organisation advocating for Australians living with lipoedema. To now be welcoming the international lipoedema community to Australia for the World Congress, alongside our seventh national conference, is an extraordinary milestone for our organisation and our community.

There is so much more to come! Registration and abstract submissions will open in the coming weeks, with further details about the Congress and Conference program to follow.
